"The 1934 d'Yquem is another refined, mature wine, evoking aromas of quince, baked mango, candied blood orange, orange peel, saffron and brown sugar. Medium-bodied and perfectly balanced, with an unexpectedly energetic mid-palate, it is layered and textural with a long, saline finish that remains racy at age 89. - Yohan Castaing, Published: Nov 01, 2023"

"Dark tawny with greenish hints at the rim. Muted nose though hints of age. Quite dry by now but very tight and dynamic. Like a polished chestnut in taste somehow. Lively clean finish but not especially sweet. I think this is probably just past its best but very good. Wonderfully creamy - Jancis Robinson MW, Published:13 Feb 2008"

Tasting Notes

"The rapid onset of Botrytis cinerea and the accelerated concentration of the berries as observed in 1934 facilitated the creation of an exceptional vintage with extraordinary aging potential. The 1934 vintage is distinguished by a majestic bouquet that unfolds a captivating complexity throughout the tasting. Aromas of candied apricot blend harmoniously with notes of quince paste and the pungent scent of bitter orange peel. This olfactory concert is further enriched by exotic whispers of saffron, delicate twirls of orange blossom honey, and sharp hints of rhubarb. On the palate, the wine is vibrant and energetic. Its remarkable richness and density are underscored by a refreshing mentholated quality. With extensive length, this wine continues to engage with its purity and balance.

It is through an immersion in the world of this great wine that we wish to offer you a unique and memorable moment, reflecting the eternal nature of this vintage. We will take you, for a private tour of th
