16 / 20"Bright and pale lemon in colour. Reductive on the nose with textbook struck-match aromas that are must-haves in modern Chardonnay. There is more underneath to support this – ripe peaches and buttery pears. The palate is fleshy and surprisingly creamy, with tarte Tatin and more peach. The spiciness on the palate complements the reduction of the nose, but the buttery, creamy texture pushes through and dominates the finish. - Tom Parker MW"

"He’s a very interesting man, is vigneron Will Berliner. Kind of odd and intense, quietly spoken, and most certainly entertaining. Of course, not that it matters, but I like him, and what he’s doing, very much. We tend to love an iconoclast at The Wine Front. Spicy ginger and cinnamon oak, teddy bear biscuits, juicy drizzling-down-the-chin pear, chewy almost chalky texture, a showtime style, if you like, but tight too, with grapefruit zip and tang, and huge length of toast, hazelnut and staring-at-the-sun Chardonnay power. Chalky texture as it exits. Unashamedly flamboyant, and none the worse for that."

Tasting Notes
A formidable, vivid wine with terrific structure, tension and length. Wild flavours of grapefruit skin and white peach meld alluringly with creamy roasted almonds and hints of cinnamon, ginger, smoke and slate. This exquisite Chardonnay is voluptuous, yet agile, easily carrying a powerful balance of pure fruit, spice and mineral. An unalloyed pleasure with incredible length, vitality, and brightness. - Cloudburst
