95 / 100"A captivating nose of dark ripe red berries, 'forest floor' and spice makes you stop and keep on smelling. The palate echoes the nose—a bewildering mix of chocolate-coated raspberries, moss and roses glides across the palate, the tannins are fine and silky. This is complex yet inviting, a thrilling grenache."

"Hand-picked fruit, crushed, open-top fermentation, basket pressed, maturation in French oak (a third new). By any measure, a wine of class that showcases the intrigue and appeal of grenache. Explores the grape's floral confection and perfumed attributes, while also delving deep into a world of Middle Eastern spice, pepper, wild berries and game. Moves with real energy across the palate, aided and abetted by fine, woodsy oak tannins."

"Bold, substantial aromas of damson and raspberry compote. The succulence of the red fruit continues onto the palate. It has the best components of the young, fresh, juicy styles as well as structure and extra layers of flavour. Top wine."

Tasting Notes
A deep and intense wine packed with red cherries, black fruits, spice and cedar. Length and depth of fruit are exceptional. Enjoy now or cellar for up to 10 years. Bottled unfined and unfiltered.
Winemaker Elena Brooks has a unique ability to heighten the aromatic power and flavour of Grenache, and this wine is her pinnacle release of the variety. Bright medium to deep ruby. Seductive florals, strawberry, violets, raspberry jube and rose petal. An amalgam of gentle flavours with sweet cherry and strawberry, over satin-soft tannins with superb length. A beautifully made wine.
