"An attractive lemon yellow. Just after bottling the oak has taken the higher ground. Good lemon intensity behind the white fruit which fills the middle ground. Quite a fleshy Meursault, though still in balance. Drink from 2026-2033. Tasted: October 2023."

Tasting Notes

The Clos des Corvees de Citeau is a .96 hectare vineyard located in Meursault. It was part of the appellation of l'Ormeau; an old property of the Cistercian monks who made a two meter wall around the vines. The tall walls create a micro-climate that encourages early growth and ripening.

Thanks to its clay rich soil, the vineyard produces a rich, opulent and luscious wine that can be enjoyed young. This is a powerful and elegant white Burgundy; expressive, fresh and fruity with intense and strong flavors.

A nose of red apple and mango gives way to notes of vanilla and hazelnuts. Great creamy mouthfeel, rich and full bodied with a long finish.
Made by one of the most exciting young winemaker of the Cote d'Or.
To be enjoyed now and in the next 10-15 years. Enjoy with pan fried scallops on a bed of creamy leeks.
