94 / 100"A wine with an incredible purity of citrus fruit and just a hint of reduction, plus a buttery note and a creamy texture that come out on the palate. Marvellous. This textbook Meursault is produced from domaine-owned parcels such as the Clos du Cromin, En la Barre and Casse Têtes, as well as fruit purchased from Narvaux, Tillets, Limosin, Chevalières and Petits Charrons. The grapes are lightly crushed and pressed in a state-of-the-art vertical press with the cage sealed. The must is fermented in cask (20% new)."

"Mostly made from their own grapes from Luraules, Petit Charrons, Pelles Dessus along with grapes they harvest from En La Barre and Clos du Cromin. The new wood level has been reduced to 15-20%. More lemon than lime in colour, quite a plump nose though fruit detail awaits. Builds very nicely on the palate, some ripe greengage notes, very good fresh finish with a balance between the flesh and the acidity. Recognisably Meursault."

Tasting Notes
The 2020 vintage for white Burgundy has been heralded as one of the best in recent memory and the Meursault bottling from Boillot has been termed "Outstanding" and "Incredibly pure" by critics like Meadows, Morris and Decanter. This is a delicious Meursault that is already giving pleasure and will improve over the next decade. A case buy for sure!
This 94 point Chardonnay from Meursault is made for dishes with textured seafood and chicken like a lobster thermidor, chicken fricassee or prawn dish. Mushroom based sauces and dishes also pair very well with a Meursault.
