96 / 100"Dollar for dollar, this one is hard to beat for a warming Rhone red. Earthy red and black fruit notes, and that classic Rhone valley stony, rocky element. Tasty."

Tasting Notes
Sourced entirely from a vineyard that borders the esteemed Chateauneuf du Pape region, with identical 'Galet' stone soils. Grenache 80%, Syrah 15%, Mourvèdre 5%
This wine is a blend of three typical Côtes-du-Rhône grape varieties. The Grenache brings the power, the fat and the suppleness, the Syrah brings the fruit, and the Mourvèdre the structure and the framework. Clear red, this wine exalts aromas of ripe red fruits, spices, thyme and licorice. On the palate it is elegant, with silky tannins and a long spicy finish.
A brooding nose of dusty earth and dried herbs. Exceptionally well made, balancing warmth and ripe fruity characters with fine tannins and fresh acidity.
The vineyard belongs to the Bressy family, the 3rd generation of whom takes care of the vineyard today. Domaine Les Cassanets is located in Courthézon, just a few meters from the vineyards in Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
