95 / 100"A cool site with meager topsoil, Sechet is a cru that serves warmer years well, delivering tension and refinement. Very linear, showing typical Chablis character along with its vibrant acidity. Aniseed and mint with hints of toast and chestnuts. More delineated and voluminous than so-called classic vintages, but still pulls the saliva and tingles the tongue in readiness for the next glass. Excellent showing of this wine. Drinkable now, but best from 2026"

"Showing a bit more richness at the moment, with wood character coming through. Thin 30cm soils above the limestone bedrock contribute to the finesse. Crisp citrus acidity, very much a thoroughbred but needs time."

Tasting Notes
Domaine Vincent Dauvissat is known for its exceptional Chablis wines, often considered among the best in the region. The winery is known for its traditional winemaking techniques, which emphasize minimal intervention and the expression of terroir.
The grapes are crushed whole-cluster to maintain natural pH levels, followed by fermentations in enamel-lined tanks and some barrels. The wine is then aged in 6-8 year old barrels. This barrel aging is crucial to their style, as it promotes ample oxygen exchange rather than aiming for reduction, allowing the wines to develop complexity.
