Scores

96 / 100

"This is impeccably composed and expressed with lime zest, wet limestone and jasmine aromas, followed by a concentrated palate delivering delicate fruit flavours with vibrant acidity, finishing superbly long and refined. It’s sleek and taut, yet with finesse and grace, promising to evolve magnificently. At its best: 2027 to 2043."
- Sam Kim

94 / 100

"Pretty aromatics and a body with excellent intensity. This is another very good release from Steve Wiblin. Lime and bath salt characters charge convincingly through the palate, apple and slate notes lingering on the finish."
- Campbell Mattinson

Tasting Notes

Pride of Erin is Steve Wiblin's top Riesling. Sourced from Sevenhill, this complex, intense wine will probably outlive us all. Wet stone, talc, white flowers and a promise of intense citrus flavours on the nose, the palate features a sheer drive of line, length and latent power that its easy to forget that this is from the Clare Valley. High natural acidity and hints of nectarine and granny smith finish off the payday.
