96 / 100"An excellent riesling that’s streamlined and graceful. Exquisite and pithy citrus, pickled quince, sea salt and subtle stone fruit nuances. The acidity is juicy and filigreed, the mouthfeel is medium-bodied and the finish is dry, It’s electric but relaxed all at once due to the stream of juicy acidity and gentle chewiness. A collaborative German-Australian effort that is as good as it gets on Aussie shore"

Tasting Notes
The friendship between Erni Loosen of the Dr. Loosen Estate in Germany and Peter Barry of Jim Barry Wines in Australia’s Clare Valley began in London in 1995. Forged out of a mutual respect for the noble variety, Riesling, this collaboration of ideas pays homage to the winemaking techniques used in their respective homes of the Mosel and the Clare Valleys. They’ve spent that many good times together with the Riesling flowing, it was perhaps only a matter of time before they started inter-breeding. But jokes aside, this is a serious collaboration bringing together two tireless, fearless pioneers. These estates have been pushing boundaries and flying the Riesling flag for decades, so we are most excited to bring these new releases to you - just in time for International Riesling Day next week!
