Tasting Notes
Cream, white peach, citrus vanillin brioche on the nose. The palate has more brioche plus minerality, peaches, lime and cream.
Limestone Coast fruit, including a blend of Coonawarra and Mount Gambier. The Coonawarra fruit is from the V&A Lane Vineyard planted over Terra Rossa and limestone soil. The Mount Gambier fruit is from the Coola Road vineyard, a flinty volcanic site, close to the Southern Ocean.
The fruit is whole cluster crushed, pressed then drained off into tank for settling. Primary fermentation takes place in barrique and tank with approx. 15% new oak used.

92 / 100"Aromas of cinnamon toast, preserved lemon, faint caramel, green apple, ginger and bergamot tea. There’s a crispness to texture yet a slipperiness in there too – touches of toffee apple, ginger, more cinnamon toast, rich lemon curd, a touch of pulpy grapefruit and lime. You could open the dictionary and look to the chardonnay entry and this is there. It’s sublime in drinking, it resonates in the complexity department, it’s delicious. It doesn’t need to blow your mind, it just needs to be in your glass, at the right price. Tick those boxes."
