97 / 100"It defies conventional thinking, but this wine from 129yo vines is less powerful than Carey (17yo) and Valley View Road (15yo) vines. But it's the most elegant, and I'm bemused by the pricing, this the bargain. Supple red and black fruits have just the right amount of French oak back-up, and the svelte tannins are all-important in the creation of the wine."

Tasting Notes
Over the past decades, some special pockets of land have consistently stood out to the winemakers for their quality and individual character. Fruit from these vineyards was set aside, and made in small batches to highlight this character as single vineyard wines under the name “VSV” – Very Special Vineyards.
