"A lively, vibrant and penetrative red of fullish to medium weight whose pristine flavours of black and blue berries, dark plums and gentle cedary oak are underpinned by fine, crunchy tannins and wrapped in a lively acidity. There's a rustic, meaty aspect, plus a touch of spice, and the wine finishes with a note of licorice"

Tasting Notes
Rocky O’Callahan is one of the Australian wine industry’s true originals, and since 1984 he has done things his way at Rockford. To this day all fruit is processed using a single crusher and basket press from the 1890’s. This process can take up to six weeks to crush the 220 tonnes of grapes harvested annually, at many modern wineries this might be achieved in a single day! This steadfast commitment to quality and tradition results in wines of character unmatched anywhere in Australia.
