95 / 100"renache 55%, Shiraz 30%, Cinsault 10%, Mataro 5%. A Rhone blend with Mount Mary sensibility. This is fresh, spicy, red fruits with an exotic musky and rosy perfume. Medium-bodied, rosehip, redcurrant and raspberry, a fine crunch to it, juicy but controlled, with a lick of kitten’s tongue tannin, almond, biscuit spice, dried herbs and orange zest, and a clean finish of excellent length. It’s a Pinot Noir drinkers Rhone blend, for sure, and it’s such a delightful wine. I’d say it’s likely the best release to date."

"“The grenache spends 16 months in 1600L seasoned foudre, the rest matured in barriques (15% new for the shiraz). A light, bright crimson. Perfumed with ripe raspberries, kirsch, incense and garrigue. Red fruited and gently fleshy on the palate before closing with silky tannins on the smooth, satisfying finish”. 95 points. Tasting Notes
55% Grenache, 20% Shiraz, 20% Mourvèdre, 5% Cinsault. The quality and consistency of this blend, grown here at Mount Mary, has surprised us from the very first release, and it takes another leap forward in 2019. To date, this is the most balanced and complete wine we have made under this label. Scents of poached strawberry, sour cherries, rose water, dark chocolate and spice all contribute to the complex aroma of this wine. On the palate its medium bodied, but shows understated concentration, power and length. It’s a wine that benefits from a good decant and should be enjoyed over many hours to ensure the full spectrum of flavours is revealed.
