95 / 100"The 2015 Echézeaux Grand Cru, which comes from 1.32 hectares within the lieu-Dit "Les Champs Traversins" and "Les Cruots ou Vignes Blanches" has a detailed, understated and (again) transparent bouquet with expressive red berry fruit, married with orange blossom and light marine aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with velvety smooth tannin. There is impressive depth here, very well balanced, gradually building towards a caressing, lightly spiced finish with a long aftertaste. This is wonderful."

"The wood is more prominent and it presently is strong enough to fight somewhat with the otherwise pretty and overtly spicy aromas of red currant, cherry and lavender. The supple and seductively textured medium-bodied flavors, like several of the wines in the range, immediately tighten up on the balanced and sneaky persistent finish that really fans out as it sits on the palate."

Tasting Notes
Intense dark fruits offered on the nose with a hint of balsamic, with the fruits so dark and rich it’s reminiscent of dark fruit compote, inviting you to take a taste. Here we find extreme power perfectly matched with tremendous elegance and refinement, with a dark and rich pure fruit core leading into a fresh and lifted finish.
