Tasting Notes
Located on limestone soils from the Upper Jurassic Kimmeridgian and Portlandian eras, in the communes of Chablis, Préhy and Villy. This type of soil is defined by alternating layers of very compact, very hard limestone and softer clayey marl, containing fossilised marine organisms.
The soil is cultivated according to a policy of integrated farming, in which we avoid the use of polluting weedkillers in favour of mechanical cultivation of the soil, such as ploughing.
Bright citrus notes (lemon, lime), green apples, and perhaps a hint of white flowers. The 2023 vintage might also show a touch of riper stone fruit due to the warm growing conditions. Crisp and zesty with a strong mineral backbone. You can expect lively acidity, making the wine refreshing and easy to drink. The 2023 vintage could offer slightly more body and ripeness compared to cooler years. Clean, precise, and refreshing, with that typical Chablis minerality shining through.
