93 / 100"The nose is fruity and offers a fine pulpiness, a beautiful / racy minerality as well as a beautiful, ripe / fresh fruit. There are notes of quite ripe blackberry, pulpy raspberry and small notes of fresh purple plum associated with touches of violet, cherry blossoms as well as hints of zan, discreet hints of spices, fresh tobacco and a subtle hint of varietal / sense of the place. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, a beautiful acidulous / chiseled / gourmand frame, a nice tension, freshness, a small fat as well as a certain well-controlled / stretched richness and an aerial approach. On the palate this wine expresses notes of acidulous / juicy raspberry, fresh cherry and small notes of plum associated with touches of fresh blackberry, violet, cherry blossoms as well as hints of fresh blond tobacco, zan, a discreet hint of pepper, fresh nutmeg and an imperceptible hint of sense of the place. Tannins are precise, racy, fine and supple"

"No deeper in colour than the village Beaune. Deep ripe cherry and raspberry but I find better balanced than in the Mariages. Delicious on the palate, a well-managed ripeness, certainly with the requisite acidity behind and a little youthful astringency. Generous mouthfilling fruit carries through to a long finish."

"A more elegant and slightly cooler mix easily reveals its aromas of both red and dark pinot fruit that is trimmed with pretty violet and discreet spice wisps. The bigger and richer yet finer textured medium-bodied flavors also possess good vibrancy while delivering better depth and length on the notably more firmly structured finale."

Tasting Notes
What gloriously delicious fruit here, very lifted raspberry with a very subtle structure, so opened and pretty for Beaune. Quite persistent on the finish, this is a lovely example of how good Beaune can be, especially when it comes from the best part of a great vineyard such as Teurons, and is crafted by a winemaker with total respect for terroir expression.
A beguiling nose with a lovely, fragrant array of violet, rose and summer berries. Bright and vivacious on attack it has great energy and drive, supported by rounded, supple tannins through to a protracted, mocharich, yet sprightly finish.
