93 / 100"No deeper in colour than the village Beaune. Deep ripe cherry and raspberry but I find better balanced than in the Mariages. Delicious on the palate, a well-managed ripeness, certainly with the requisite acidity behind and a little youthful astringency. Generous mouthfilling fruit carries through to a long finish."

"A more elegant and slightly cooler mix easily reveals its aromas of both red and dark pinot fruit that is trimmed with pretty violet and discreet spice wisps. The bigger and richer yet finer textured medium-bodied flavors also possess good vibrancy while delivering better depth and length on the notably more firmly structured finale."

Tasting Notes
Brothers David and Nicolas Rossignol run this 100% Organic and Biodynamically farmed Domaine located in the very heart of Gevrey Chambertin. Very early to the Sustainable farming movement, all the family's vineyards, located in some of the most impressive vineyards in Burgundy, were converted to Certified Orgainc in 2004.
This esteemed estate started with the marriage of Jacques Rossignol of Volnay with Mado Trapet from a noted Gevrey-Chambertin family.
This is pale in colour and very subtle on the nose. This is the biodynamic way – the finesse creeps up on you. Small red berries and lifted perfume. This is a wine all about "Intensity, not density" as the brothers say. A wine you initially thought was a bit light-on ends up filling your mouth with perfume and unexpected intensity. Very lovely, it glides with translucent red fruit.
