Tasting Notes
The second wine: Le Bouquet de Monbrison is sourced from the estate which covers around 20 hectares in Cordet and Margaux.
The vines are up to 49 years old and are on gravelly soils, all in one piece. The harvest at Château Monbrison is green and the vinification is traditional. The Bouquet de Monbrison is aged in barrels, 25% of which are new for 10 to 12 months.
The Monbrison has a bouquet of great finesse, with a fair balance between wood and black and red fruits. Bouquet has a soft and very ample tannic structure. Elegant nose with dark pronounced fruit notes on a very discrete oak flavour. Enjoy the Bouquet de Monbrison with meats, game and cheese.
