95 / 100"An archetype of the Coonawarra idiom and a classic in the making, this Malleea is 55% cabernet sauvignon, 45% shiraz. The fruit is sourced from the oldest vines, abstemiously selected. The extraction is gentle and it shows, with finely tuned tannins framing and drawing up the saliva, forcing one to reach for another glass as waves of black currant, bitter chocolate and a hint of pimento waft across the strident, creamy finish."

Tasting Notes
The 2013 “The Malleea” is a dark magenta colour, with a bright purple hue. Lush mulberry, black
currant, blackberry and vanillin oak on the nose.
The layered palate is of cassis, plum fruit and spice with undertones of mint. Fine structured tannins and subtle oak enhance the finish.
