Scores
95 / 100"Offering terrific fruit purity and power, this tremendous cabernet shows cassis, blueberry compote, tobacco, cedar and violet aromas on the nose, followed by a weighty palate that's focused and persistent. It's superbly structured by fine chalky tannins, finishing wonderfully long and expansive. Great line and length. At its best: now to 2033"

Tasting Notes
Rifle and Hunt sounds like the beginning of a tale from an early hunting expedition, but the story is really not that complicated. It's more like directions rather than a name, with the Pertaringa property being on the corner of Rifle Range and Hunt Roads in McLaren Vale.
The nose is rich and earthy with blackcurrants, redcurrants, dried herbs and a hint of spice. The palate is elegant and complex with luscious berry flavours, followed by excellent structure and a long finish.
