95 / 100"Classic in name and in character, displaying a beautiful, arresting complexity and depth of flavour matched to a freshness that beguiles. The average age is 12 years, well above the usual designated classification, and it brings butterscotch, fig, nougat, raisin and, overall, a fine and lasting elegance as per the house style. 500ml."

"The second Classic tier of the fortified classification displays the heart and soul of muscat with age (12 years average), a sense of raisiny youth, developing complexity and, importantly, freshness. They are all here and then some. Add the Campbells' elegant house style and you have one sublime fortified. 500ml. - Jeni Port"

Tasting Notes
World-class wines made in a style unique to Rutherglen. A combination of climate, soil grape variety, generations of experience and the availability of very old stocks put these wines in a class of their own. They are classified according to age and complexity into Rutherglen, Classic, Grand and Rare. The Campbells “House Style” is complex and elegant capturing a rich purity of fruit flavours.
Deep, brilliant old gold. Lifted toffee, honey and cold tea characters combine to produce the unique character of Rutherglen Topaque. Toffee and tealeaf characters predominate on the front of the palate with a cleansing hint of spirit and old oak on the finish
