92 / 100"Mild reduction cannot hide the ripe plum, earth and violet aromas that lead to extremely rich, full and fresh flavors that posses excellent volume and a really dense mid-palate that completely buffers the firm tannins, indeed to the point where the texture is velvety and mouth coating. This is complex, serious and built to age. Very impressive. *Outstanding*"

"Wild red and black fruits complicated by a mineral nuance. Sweet, lush and creamy in the mouth, with the wine's fatness coming as a surprise after the nose. Plenty of tannins here but the tannins are sweet and supple."

Tasting Notes
A true genius when it comes to vinification, Bernard Dugat acquired his first parcel in 1973, when he was only 15! Gradually, the domain grew through successive purchases of grand crus, mostly in Charmes-Chambertin and Mazis-Chambertin, but also in the village and regional appellations. The wines truly reflect the Gevrey terroir. Above all, the aim is to allow the terroir to express itself. Yields are limited in order to maximise concentration; a traditional and careful maturing in barrels (between 50 to 100% new oak) is carried out for 14 to 18 months.
