92 / 100"This is decidedly riper with its aromas of poached plum, mocha, black cherry liqueur and anise. The delicious middle weight flavors possess very good energy and richness while exhibiting fine length on the dusty bitter cherry pit-inflected finale. This mouthcoating effort should be approachable young but age well too over the mid-term."

Tasting Notes
Founded in 1731, Bouchard Père et Fils has built up an estate of 130ha and, collectively, is the largest owner of Grand Crus (12ha) and Premier Crus (74ha) across the Côte d’Or. Bouchard Père et Fils represents almost one hundred climates or uniquely diverse vineyards, including prestigious monopoles such as ‘Beaune Grèves Vigne de l’Enfant Jésus’ and ‘Chevalier-Montrachet La Cabotte’.
Bouchard Père & Fils has been producing the Beaune du Château cuvée, an exclusive of the House, since 1907. This wine, which is a blend of several Premier Cru vineyards vinified separately, demonstrates the different facets of the terroir of Beaune. Red Beaune du Château comes from 17 Beaune Premier Cru vineyards, chosen for their complementary qualities.
