"Fair depth of colour, evolving slowly. A wealth of fruit at first hidden under that drier graphite touch which I often find in La Tâche. But clearly there is so much more beneath. A touch of mocha, chocolate and coffee notes competing, but above all a sublime vigorous red fruit, a few rose petals, an underlying structure which suggests very many years ahead. Much later on the drier aspects become totally submerged in a wealth of sensual fruit. Really a gorgeous wine from this not especially heralded vintage."

"The La Tache 2011, picked on 5 and 6 September at 27.49hl/ha, has a wonderful bouquet that is quintessential La Tache: very complete and harmonious, beautifully delineated, succinct at first then with aeration, blossoming with brambly red berries, apple blossom, minerals and a touch of sous-bois. The palate is medium-bodied with immense purity and delicacy on the entry. This La Tache is extremely focused, velvety smooth in the mouth and although not as complex as the 2010, it has a beguiling femininity that will seduce at ten paces. It is extremely long in the mouth but politely does not outstay its welcome. Divine. 1,514 cases produced. Drink 2017-2040. - Neal Martin"

Tasting Notes
Domaine De La Romanee Conti La Tache Grand Cru is of exceptional quality, with the La Tache vineyard known for producing some of the most complex and elegant wines in Burgundy. Rare and highly sought-after, with only a limited number of bottles produced each year.
Overall an outstanding wine that represents a rare combination of exceptional quality and rarity, making it a true gem.
