Tasting Notes

This is a special cuvee which comes from a plot of the same name ‘Les Chaillots’ in old Burgundian French which means ‘Les Cailloux’ (the Pebbles) which exactly describes this plot where the soil is very stony with natural drainage.

Domaine Gachot-Monot has a long history behind it. It was created way back in 1890 in Corgoloin, a border town between the Côte de Nuits and the Côte de Beaune. Five generations of the family have succeeded at the helm of the estate, which today is run by Damien and Liselotte Gachot. Damien, after his winemaking training and experience in California, joined the company, working alongside his mother to give new impetus to the business.

The Domaine extends over 14 hectares, divided into several parcels, located in the municipalities of Corgoloin, Comblanchien and Nuits Saint Georges in the Côte de Nuits.
