93 / 100"The Beaune Teurons from Rossignol-Trapet is a distinct step up from their villages wine, with better density and winning aromas of ripe black plum and cherry adorned with hints of earth and smoke. The seamless texture is rich and velvety, and the wine has the balance and energy to supply a lingering finish. The biodynamically-grown grapes are from the domaine's 1.4-hectare parcel at the top of the slope; they are partly destemmed and fermented with a meticulous extraction to yield this delicious wine."

"A light crimson ruby colour. The nose is quite refined as well, with a fresh crunchy red fruit, not too much body but more of a linear intensity, and certainly very persistent. Very well balanced. Drink from 2028-2034. Tasted: December 2023."

Tasting Notes
What gloriously delicious fruit here, very lifted raspberry with a very subtle structure, so opened and pretty for Beaune. Quite persistent on the finish, this is a lovely example of how good Beaune can be, especially when it comes from the best part of a great vineyard such as Teurons, and is crafted by a winemaker with total respect for terroir expression.
A beguiling nose with a lovely, fragrant array of violet, rose and summer berries. Bright and vivacious on attack it has great energy and drive, supported by rounded, supple tannins through to a protracted, mocharich, yet sprightly finish.
