"Bottled. Really rather magnificent. A real treat at the end of a tasting. Long and intense with jewelly mix of fruit and minerals. This goes on and on. Not a disappointment! Subtle but not wimpy."

96 / 100

"The 2018 Chambertin Grand Cru clearly has the most complexity and amplitude on the nose, featuring blackberry, briar, raspberry and crushed stone aromas; this feels complete and very harmonious. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red fruit, a fine bead of acidity, superb structure and wonderful salinity and cohesion on the persistent finish. Très Chambertin et très bon."

95 / 100

"An overtly floral-suffused nose is comprised by very cool and restrained wild red berries, herbal tea and spice elements. The exceptionally intense, sleek and markedly stony broad-shouldered flavors possess a really lovely texture markedly austere and beautifully balanced finish. This is also quite compact and backward and I would strongly recommend not even touching a bottle for at least 10 years and this beauty should reward 20+."

Tasting Notes

Brothers David and Nicolas Rossignol run this 100% Organic and Biodynamically farmed Domaine located in the very heart of Gevrey Chambertin. Very early to the Sustainable farming movement, all the family's vineyards, located in some of the most impressive vineyards in Burgundy, were converted to Certified Organic in 2004.

An overtly floral-suffused nose is comprised by very cool and restrained wild red berries, herbal tea and spice elements. The exceptionally intense, sleek and markedly stony broad-shouldered flavors possess a really lovely texture markedly austere and beautifully balanced finish.
