95 / 100"Cherry, spice and an intriguing savoury character with a subtle suggestion of oak. Tasted alongside the Block 3 it didn’t have quite the concentration of its big brother but it certainly boasted a similarly smooth texture and showed a strong family identity. 23 JUN 2014"

"Supple wild berry, cherry and plum favours are both powerful and delicate, with details of Earl Grey tea, white pepper, anise and crushed rock. Expansive and expressive, the finish sails on and on, with satiny tannins that never get in the way. Drink now through 2030."

"There’s something about this release of Felton Road, so much so, that I found myself enjoying it more than the more expensive single vineyard wines. 5200 cases Perfume of thyme and rose, raw meat, spice, plum and cherry fruit. Juicy with bright fruit, plenty of punch, grainy earthy tannin – flavours running towards red fruit – layered with dried herb, minerally acididy and very good length. Super tasty wine. Stylish too."

"Deep red/purple colour, impressive for a pinot noir. The bouquet is ripe and intense, loaded with spice and chaffy, dried herb aromas, the flavour filling the mouth and lasting long. The tannins and extract are remarkable, although typical of the Central Otago region. A very good pinot that is just starting out on its journey. 27 AUG 2014"
