"2012 is Blair Walter's favourite vintage to date and I generally agree with him. This is a big, highly structured wine with bold tannins - solid, dry and very youthful. It has great flavour and will seemingly last forever. A terrific combination of elegance and power. 05 SEP 2017"
- Huon Hooke

96 / 100

"Beautifully perfumed Pinot Noir that displays an array of flavours including plum, raspberry, wild herbs, mineral, and savoury/nutty/spicy characters that are indefinable. Elegant wine with a firm structure. Pinot Noir made fro the long haul - I felt slightly guilty unscrewing the cap after little more than a year since the grapes were harvested 16 JUL 2013"
- Bob Campbell MW

95 / 100

"Cedary wafts over dark cherry, plum skin, olive tapenade and garrigue. Savoury kind of intro. Supple, succulent texture with fine boned feel and seamless, lithe flow through long, gradually building in pucker, finish. Incredible carry of flavour, savoury tannins, amaro herbs, spice. Layers and delivery. Super stuff."
- Mike Bennie

16.5 / 20

"Bottle brought by Stephen Browett of Farr Vintners. First vintage of the renaissance. Something a bit vegetal about the nose of this wine. Sinewy and firmer than some later vintages."

Tasting Notes

Felton Road is a premium wine producer stablished in 1991, the estate owns 32 ha of vineyards in the Bannockburn sub-region. They prioritise minimal intervention in both the vineyard and the winery, resulting in wines of unparalleled purity and complexity.

"Every characteristic of this wine is pure Block 3; the crushed herbs are there, dancing with eastern spices and leather; the haunting raspberry purity of the front palate; the way the wine swells in the mouth; then the chocolate finish kicks in and simply refuses to leave. Precision reigns supreme throughout, allowing each phase to be explored and enjoyed." - Felton Road
