95 / 100"Strong ruby with purple reflexes, and a delicate, watery rim. An inviting bouquet with ripe cherry compote, wild berries, orange zest, some nougat, and rosehip. It is juicy and elegant, with ripe dark stone fruit, a touch of blueberry and nougat, fine tannins, and ripe fruit texture. Mineral and long lasting, it is already easy to drink. A multi-faceted food wine with great ageing potential."

Tasting Notes
Winemaker Blair Walter describes the wines of 2019 as ‘astonishing quality’
The 2019 Block 3 Pinot Noir, from the original plantings by Stewart Elms in Felton Road in 1991, is possibly one of the greatest yet! Located on a gentle north facing slope where a deep bench of silt is interspersed with calcareous seams, the Block Three shows trademark complexity: red florals interspersed with red fruits, Arabic spices, dried herbs and a whiff of smoke. With both serious density and complexity, the 2019 will reward patience…if you can manage it.
Felton Road rank among the top 3 New Zealand producers, and in all honesty are usually number 1. In fact, they deserve a spot among the top New World producers, and this was proven when they were given the #12 spot in Wine Spectator Magazine's 2018 Top 100 Wines issue- an incredible achievement.
The reason for the world-class quality of their wines is a mix of their unique 'terroir', but also because they are one of the leading names in susta
