96 / 100"Black cherries and plums with an intense, earthy note. Great depth and structure, the power married to cool freshness that gives this great vitality. Enormously long and complex finish. Try to wait until at least 2023. - Tuesday, February 12, 2019"

"From a parcel in Grand Maupertui, the 2017 Clos Vougeot Grand Cru reveals lovely aromas of sweet dark berries, licorice and rich soil, framed by creamy new oak. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, firm and chewy, with lots of extract and structuring tannins, underpinned by tangy acids. It's quite promising but will need some time. - 91-93 Points, William Kelley, Jan 05, 2019"

"The 2017 Clos Vougeot Grand Cru has a well-defined bouquet of vibrant dark cherries and black currant aromas, the oak nicely integrated. The palate is well balanced with sappy black cherries and blueberry fruit, the richness countered by the acidity to leave the finish pure and refreshing. There is a bit of new oak to be subsumed, but time should reveal a delicious Clos Vougeot. - Neal Martin, September 2021"

"Vibrant youthful purple with significant density. Quite high acidity, lean and tight, and currently rather closed down by the oak regime which gives a toasty finish."

Tasting Notes
This is a striking expression of one of Burgundy’s most celebrated Grand Cru vineyards. Known for his meticulous craftsmanship, Henri Boillot has created a wine that reflects both the power and complexity of the historic Clos de Vougeot and the elegance of the 2017 vintage. With layers of ripe fruit, earthiness, and fine tannins, this wine offers immediate pleasure but will also reward those who choose to cellar it for further development. It’s a quintessential example of the domaine’s dedication to Burgundy's finest terroirs.
