94 / 100"Often quite reticent in their youth, these wines build up with time in bottle, or to a lesser extent, in glass. Tasting this one after it has been open for a day. Perfumed, slight mintiness over red berries and red cherry, mineral/earth stuff, spiced biscuit. Light to medium-bodied, well-defined, bright and fine, succulence of fruit but with restraint, super fine emery tannin, spiced fresh strawberry and earthy bunch in the aftertaste, which is pretty long. Understated, but confident. Drink 2022-2030+"

Tasting Notes
Deep bright dark red colour with black tinged edges and a light red hue. Scents of spicy red cherries and wild strawberries infused with fresh herbs are trailed by faint anise, some meatiness and stalky cedar notes. A touch more forthcoming than the nose, the palate is blessed with savoury cherry and strawberry fruits that show good power over a back drop of forest floor, spicy oak and infusions of fresh herbs. Polished tannins have a supple feel with lively acidity providing freshness. Long savoury aftertaste with shades of meatiness shining through.
