"This is moderately reduced though it's clear that the underlying fruit is quite ripe. The big-bodied and overtly muscular flavors are rich, intense, detailed and conspicuously mineral-driven while being supported by a sap enrobed tannic spine that lends a distinct tactile impression to the long, serious and driving finish. Like several of the grands crus in the Bernstein range, this is built for the long-term and will need it. *Don't miss!*"
- Burghound

Tasting Notes

Passionate about winemaking, Olivier Bernstein decided to study viticulture and enology in Beaune and started out as a wine grower in Languedoc. Thanks to his success at the Mas de la Devèze, he could not resist the temptation to return to his first love, Burgundy.

In 2007, he created an eponymous maison to vinify the Burgundy premier and grand crus and finally, in 2012, he became an owner of parcels of land located in Mazis-Chambertin and Gevrey-Chambertin.
