"A single-vineyard wine from the Surf Coast, the vineyard planted in 2001; 40% whole bunches and matured in 25% new barriques. A bright crimson ruby. From a cool vineyard and it shows, in a good, way. Aromas of strawberries, cranberries and a little spice. You barely notice the whole bunches, which are already integrating into the wine. Elegantly wrought, delicate and persistent on the palate. Thoughtful winemaking here and I like how Ben has worked with the fruit, rather than trying to make something the wine isn't."

Tasting Notes

Established in 2018 by Ben Mullen and Ben Hine, Mulline Vintners is quickly climbing the Geelongg wine tree. With experience from around the globe, talented winemaker Ben Mullen crafts wines that truly reflect their Geelong origins.

This Pinot Noir is a single-vineyard expression, sourced from the excellent Brown Magpie Vineyard in Modewarre, planted in 2001. Made from a mix of clones (MV6, 777, 114, and 115) and aged in 25% new French oak, it features 40% whole bunches, creating a beautifully integrated and elegant wine.

In the glass, the wine dazzles with aromas of strawberries, cranberries, and a touch of spice. On the palate, it’s delicate yet persistent, with the typical Mulline thumbprint of balance and detail.

Mulline is a modern star and this is another stunner!
