"Grenache Noir 50%, Syrah 30%, Mourvedre 20%. Concentrated and substantial with lovely weight of sweet berry and cherry fruits. There's intensity and structure here, with well integrated tannins providing some grip to support the sweet fruit. Notes of loquorice, herbs and spices with a long finish."

94 / 100

"A blend of 50% Grenache, 30% Syrah, and 20% Mourvedre, the 2022 Gigondas Les Hauts De Montmirail come from terraced, higher elevation, limestone soils. Darker berry fruits, leather, graphite, camphor, violets, and loads of spring flower notes define the aromatics, and it's medium to full-bodied on the palate, with a tight, focus, incredible pure style. It shines for its incredible purity and elegance and should gain a touch of weight and richness with 3-5 years in the cellar."

"Brusset's 2022 Gigondas Les Hauts de Montmirail—an assemblage of 50% Grenache, 30% Syrah and 20% Mourvèdre—features pretty strawberry and cherry shadings alongside hints of garrigue and dried spices. From the domaine's higher-altitude vineyards, it's medium to full-bodied, creamy- supple in feel, ripe and silky, with a juicy, lingering finish."
- Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

92 / 100

"Lots of cherries, raspberries, strawberries and some violets on the nose. Medium to full body with fine tannins. Round and well-balanced with juicy fruit at the center and a spicy edge. Focused and direct finish. Grenache, mourvedre and syrah. Drink or hold."
- James Suckling

Tasting Notes

This Gigondas comes from a UNESCO heritage site known as the Montmirail hill, that is unlike any other vineyard on Earth. The soils are white granite rocks, and produce intense, complex reds. Domaine Brusset are one of the largest vineyard owners of this incredible vineyard- The poor, rocky soils create wines of incredible intensity and power.

Deep crimson in colour, with a rich, spicy, smoky aroma, showing hints of chocolate and blackberry. The palate is fresh with a lovely volume of layered fruit and smooth, firm tannins, leading to a spiced, peppery finish. Long and delicious.
