93 / 100"(2023 Vintage) It’s fabulously lifted on the nose, showing kiwifruit, feijoa, jasmine and lime zest aromas, followed by a wonderfully flavoursome palate that’s juicy and exuberant. Upfront and lively with plenty of tasty flavours, making it delightfully drinkable. At its best: now to 2025."

Tasting Notes
The grapes for this wine came from two sites in the Awatere Valley and were machine-harvested at optimum ripeness to produce a medium-bodied wine with luscious tropical fruit, white peach, and a crisp green apple and lime finish.
Taken from the indigenous language of our land, Kōpū, brings to light the journey of Venus, the Morning star rising in the east across the lush mountains and valleys of New Zealand’s rugged East coast, a land first to see the light, to taste the inspiration of a new day.
Kōpū instills the delicate flavours from the chosen vines with the unique art of the winemakers most subtle skills to produce a range of distinctive, and very desirable wines. From Gisborne’s famous Chardonnay, Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc and Wairarapa Pinot Noir to our full-bodied aromatics, each glass from the Kōpū range imbibes the essence of the rising star for you to experience.
