96 / 100"Deep purple-crimson; takes over where Bremerview finished, amplifying all the dark berry fruits, spices and licorice of that wine, tannins and oak to match. Is one of those rare full-bodied shirazs that retain elegance and shape, and will live for generations to come."

"Superb ripeness and balance, married to marvellous softness, are the hallmarks of the new generation of Bleasdale reds, and this is a top example. Rich, fleshy and supple in texture; ripe and yet bright, fresh fruit. Dense, full-bodied, rich and plush. Satisfying concentration and length, too."

Tasting Notes
Totally opaque black dark red colour with a deep bright dark red black tinged hue. Pronounced scents of blackberries, liquorice and plum emanate from the glass followed by vanillin cedar with a hint of spearmint as an end note. Full and rich, yet with a relatively elegant framework, flavours of blackberries, liquorice and plum abound overlaying nuances of spearmint and spicy vanillin cedar. Dryish finish with finely grained yet sturdy tannins providing excellent structure. Long aftertaste of blackberries, liquorice, spearmint and spicy vanillin cedar.
