97 / 100"Matured for 24 months on lees in new American barriques. Superb colour, and a pure bouquet heralding the plum and black cherry fruit of the precisely balanced and detailed palate, the American oak totally appropriate for the fruit flavours. While very different in terms of flavour, it is one of a pair with Voices of Angels."

Tasting Notes
Deep colour. A wonderful expression of the traditional Barossa style. Sweetly, softly perfumed with excellent melding of vanillin and cedar oak aromatics and rich Barossa Shiraz fruit. Coffee and mocha intensity in the mouth. Firm and weighty, but not cumbersome. Long seasoned water bent American oak influence is felt, but in check. Firm tannins, richness of mouth feel and distinct flavours auger well for a long future.
