Tasting Notes
Full dark brick red colour. The nose displays alluring lifted cherry fruit combined with savoury smoky delicatessen aromas and exotic five spice. A very intriguing wine, the fruit dances on the palate displaying fresh mature shiraz fruit, very fine tannins and a dry balanced finish. The wine is extremely elegant. This is only the third Eagle Series to be made by David Jones at Dalwhinnie and epitomizes a great wine in the true Australian tradition.
