95 / 100"Bright purple; a densely proportioned shiraz, which, nonetheless, shows real finesse and a bright personality thanks to the lifted red fruits giving it a suppleness that belies the weight; excellent flavour on the finish, and very long."

Tasting Notes
Sophia Seppelt was Andrew Seppelt’s great, great grandmother, a woman of enormous influence that was the unsung strength behind the success of the Seppelt family wine enterprise in the early 1900’s. This Shiraz blend is a style that Andrew believes Sophia would have liked, rich and full bodied with gentle fruit character on the palate and an alluring finish.
A more feminine style of wine, one with a little perfume. Fermenting Shiraz with pressed Viognier skins produces this desired style and one that I believe fits the personality and strong will of Sophia. Rich and full bodied with gentle fruit character on the palate and an alluring finish.
