95 / 100"Black fruit, liquorice, violet, grilled meat with plenty of pepper, sage and walnut. It’s medium-bodied, deep and spicy, fresh and cool blackberry acidity, dark cocoa and dried flowers, almond, fleshy crushed rock tannin, and a meaty/spicy/perfumed finish of excellent length. So good."

"Very complete, fine boned, panforte leads over black cherry, green olive, a touch of mint, some faint charcuterie notes in perfume and palate, a good echo in both. Slinky texture with a sheath of fine, silty tannins, stretches long and fine with gentle palate-staining sweet fruit, salt bush and crispness. A little bloody drizzle too. So succulent too. Refreshing also. Vin de soif meets something fancier, a gluggable wine with Afghan Hound pedigree. It’s such a treat to drink, with all the great wine touchstones."

Tasting Notes
Torzi Matthews 'Francesca Grillo' Syrah is a wine that hails from the Eden Valley region of South Australia. The grapes used to make this wine are carefully selected and hand-harvested, ensuring that only the best fruit goes into the wine. The result is a wine that is deep ruby red in color, with aromas of dark fruit, such as blackberry and plum, along with notes of spice and black pepper. On the palate, Torzi Matthews 'Francesca Grillo' Syrah is full-bodied and rich, with flavors of black fruit, chocolate, and a hint of smokiness. The tannins are firm yet well-integrated, providing a long and elegant finish that lingers on the palate. This wine pairs perfectly with grilled meats, such as steak or lamb, and is also an excellent choice for hearty stews or casseroles. It's a wine that will impress your guests and elevate any meal.
