94 / 100"The fruit is sweet and dense, the tannin a melt throughout, the oak downplayed but at one with the fruit. The fruit profile tends towards jamminess, regardless of the stated alcohol, but for sheer it's-all-there-on-its-sleeve seduction this takes some beating. This is where simple meets saucy."

Tasting Notes
Very deep garnet in color with a purple hint, the 2014 Shiraz Max's Garden offers a gorgeous baked cherries, plum preserves and dark chocolate scented nose with hints of licorice, spice box and potpourri. Medium to full-bodied with a real richness of flavor and expression as opposed to heaviness, it has a velvety texture and wonderfully long, spicy finish.
