From the Tuscany wine region, Castello di Querceto Crianza 2020 Chianti Classico is a dry, medium-bodied Sangiovese-driven red wine blend with a splash of Canaiolo added to the mix. Fragrant with ripe dark cherry, blackberry, spicy, earthy and mocha notes with a pleasantly chewy finish. Tannins are still quite fresh, so give it another year to mellow in bottle and try it in 2024.
Chianti Classico food pairings: bucatini (pasta) with sausage and peas, roast beef, pizza.
