Tasting Notes

IDENTIFY
Facing due south on the hillside, Mambourg dominates Sigolsheim. It is one of the earliest hillsides in the Alsace plain, it benefits from optimal sunshine duration. Calcimagnesic soil develops on limestone conglomerates.

WINEMAKING
Long fermentation in stainless steel tanks followed by prolonged aging on fine lees. The wine is then bottled before waiting at least one year for its marketing.

Golden yellow.

Beautiful intensity, fruity and freshness with citrus notes.

Racy and fruity, it offers a bouquet of great finesse with floral nuances (acacia flower).

Bestheim is a winemaking cooperative, resulting from successive mergers of 4 Alsace wineries. The history of Bestheim started in the village of Bennwihr, the stronghold of the famous Moon Chasers. These determined, independent and bold individuals have raised the bar of their ambitions ever higher. Their nickname, the origin of which has been lost in the mists of time, now designates all those who have joined the winery and adhere to its vision. Their dream? To reach for the moon and create great Alsace wines and Crémants. Their wines, authentic, sincere and true to the terroir, offer an exciting sensory experience. We are now one of the leading and oldest producers and of Cremants.
