92 / 100"D'Arenberg's The Coppermine Road is always structured—sometimes to excess—but the 2009 vintage seems to have the requisite flesh to age successfully. Cedar, chocolate and cassis notes surround a firm core of dusty tannins. Drink from 2015–2025, and possibly beyond."

Tasting Notes
The nose exhibits textbook Cabernet aromatics of black currant leaf, violets and cigar box; with a magical twist of cooking spice and mustard seed.
These lovely savoury notes are followed through onto the palate but swept along
by an underlying sweet blackcurrant and mulberry fruitiness that builds as the
wine continues to evolve in your glass.
The tannins start early and give the wine an incredible line. An intriguing fennel note accompanies the chalky, cedary tannins that are picked up on the
finish, which is long and lingering.
