Tasting Notes
Founded in 1978 on the prized Kimmeridgian soils around the village of Lignorelles which is north west of the idiosyncratic village of Chablis, Roland’s two sons, David and Arnaud, work this 20ha estate lutte raisonnée. Ferments are temperature controlled in stainless steel and all wines except the Petit-Chablis occupy a short time in 2 to 8-year-old barriques and demi-muids.
The signature cuvee of the estate is the lieu-dit ‘Vauprin’ which is one of the most elevated vineyards in Chablis and transposes an extreme mineral puissance. The Lavantureux 2022s continue
this Estate’s trajectory and rival the sort-after top names of Chablis.
