95 / 100"Big of frame, soft at heart. In most respects this is a powerhouse wine though its supple nature makes it easy to be around. A lake of blackberried flavour, a mountain of tannin, a field of violets, roads of asphalt leading through. A vast vista of flavour. You get the idea."

Tasting Notes
n Celtic mythology, Lear is the personification of the Sea. Haselgrove’s home is in the heart of McLaren Vale, a region that is influenced strongly by it's proximity to the ocean.
The Haselgrove team have selected their very parcels of McLaren Vale Shiraz to create a wine of true distinction.
Dense and inky in colour with powerful, brooding aromas of dark cassis, spice and mocha oak.
A full-bodied and eminently balanced example of McLaren Vale Shiraz. A rich palate of plum, blackberry and liquorice intertwine with fine-grained, elegant tannins and a long, moreish finish. Opulent in its youth, cellaring will reward the patient connoisseur.
