Tasting Notes
Impenetrable deep red, full fruited nose of plum and dark cherry with faint spice a background note. The definition of quality Barossa, ripe, generous yet finely textured. Swathes of milk chocolate across the palate, fruit is sweet with earthen flare. Lingering spice and plum roll across the palate with a finish that goes on and on. A wine that it is incredibly hard not to like.

Scores
94 / 100"Only 350 cases produced of this massive ‘Moda Amarone’ style. Thick, perfumed with vanilla oak, black fruit – like a tub of boysenberry swirl ice-cream along with some spice and pepper. There’s a flood of thick powdery tannin – all Turkish coffee and toast – with balanced acidity lending freshness and excellent length of flavour. Has a sort of raspberried tang to close. Despite the alcohol reading, does not really show any heat. You have to be up for the style, no doubt, but the quality is high. It embiggens and emboldens the drinker."
