97 / 100"Sophisticated and stunning, the wine is filled with crème de cassis, cedary oak and violet notes with a lovely touch of tobacco. The powerfully concentrated palate delivers awesome depth and richness, while remaining structured and robust. Multi-layered and varietally expressive with a persistent engaging finish. At its best: now to 2039."

"This is top end Coonawarra at its best, the aromatics are complex and the palate has concentration, drive, but above all elegance. A nose of blackberry, graphite and cigar box like spice and black olive. The graphite and olive are at the core of the wine with a touch of unsweetened liquorice. Fruit centers on black currant and blackberry and tannins are firm yet fine and the finish continues the briney olive notes but with lingering black fruits that have impressive length."

Tasting Notes
The epitome of classic Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon, Ravenswood Lane is the link between the Hollick vineyards, Neilson’s Block and the Wilgha Vineyard. First vintaged in 1988, The best parcels of Cabernet Sauvignon from the Hollick Coonawarra vineyards are earmarked for Ravenswood and experience tells us that this fruit will typically come from the oldest vines growing in very shallow terra rossa soil. Extremely limited quantities of this wine are made, spending eighteen months in French oak to promote the integration of fruit and oak flavours. Ready to drink on release, but will reward careful cellaring for 10 years.
