94 / 100"The grapes come from estate vineyard blocks planted in 1899 and 1965; matured in 75% French, 25% American barriques (25% new) for 18 months. Has held its purple hue; full to the brim with the flavour expected given its heritage, but the oak needs further time to tone down."

Tasting Notes
The Kaesler family were pioneers who settled in the Barossa Valley in the 1840s. In 1891 they bought a parcel of land and in 1893 planted their first vines. In 1999, winemaker Reid Bosward seized the opportunity to become the head of the new Kaesler family when he and his partners bought Kaesler, becoming just the third owners of the property
